Transtech is proud to be an Annual Gold Sponsor for APWA’s Southern California Chapter. The American Public Works Association (APWA), Southern California Chapter, provides leadership to and serves the public works community by promoting professional excellence and public awareness through education, advocacy, and the exchange of knowledge. On October 24th Transtech had the opportunity to present and give an introduction of our firm during a luncheon that APWA hosted in Downey at the Rio Hondo Golf Club. During the lunch, a very informative presentation was given by Jeff Mills, Program Manager from Orange County Transportation Department (OCTA). Jeff oversees the I-405 Improvement Project which is a $1.9 billion dollar investment to improve 16 miles of the I-405 freeway between Costa Mesa and Seal Beach. Public Works Directors from the Cities of Westminster and Fountain Valley were also part of the presentation and shared their agency’s experience interfacing with the project, OCTA, and their community outreach efforts. It was very informative to learn how each of those two cities work collaboratively with OCTA to ensure a successful project. Transtech was delighted to be a part of this enlightening event!
