Turkish American Cultural and Civilization Center
Transtech was Owner Representative and Construction Manager for the Turkish American Cultural and Civilization Center project. The facility will span across 15 acres and serve as a social, cultural, and religious center for all visitors.
The project includes 16th Century Classical Ottoman architecturally designed Mosque, a two story, 19,900 SF Cultural Center Building including conference & performance rooms with 220 seated audience capacity, an exhibit hall, a library, and various workshops for handicraft, administrative offices, and individual meeting rooms. A 9,850 SF Recreational Building with a restaurant built to serve 180 guests, a coffee shop that serves Ottoman coffee, and gift shops for visitors to enjoy. A 43,450 SF Traditional Turkish Bath (Hamam) and a Sport Center including an indoor swimming pool & sports center with support facilities. Guest Houses will be built as a four story complex spanning 18,500 SF. The building will have 16 one-bedroom apartment units, a community kitchen & dining room, and multi-purpose rooms.
Visitors will be able to park on-site in the 150,700 SF Underground Garage with a 300 vehicles space capacity. The Residential Buildings will be based on three different traditional Turkish home designs, each one about 2,700 SF. There will be several open areas consisting of sports fields, picnic areas, children’s playground, two fountains designed in traditional architecture, a traditional Turkish-Islamic garden, various flower gardens with protected trees and vegetation. The entire facility and infrastructure will consist of geothermal heating and cooling systems, collection and purification systems for the surface waters, and electricity generators.
