Mission 71 Project
Transtech served as the turn key program management and construction of The Mission Boulevard/ SR 71 Grade Separation project in conjunction with the City of Pomona and Caltrans. This project is the largest public works project in the history of the City of Pomona. This federally funded project consisted of the removal of the existing at-grade intersection of Mission Boulevard at SR 71 by construction of an overcrossing of Mission Boulevard over the existing SR 71 expressway. The design provides a compressed diamond configuration allowing full uncontrolled ingress and egress on SR 71 using standard freeway type on and off-ramps. Completion of the project has improved traffic circulation and traffic mobility and reduce delays for this heavily used intersection.
This project was a Federally Funded project located the City of Pomona and included construction of a bridge/grade separation. Transtech provided construction management, resident engineer, inspection, labor compliance and office engineer services. Caltrans was the oversight/jurisdictional Agency.
