The Transtech team attended a very informative City Manager’s Conference in Newport Beach! This is the largest gathering of managers that the League facilitates. This meeting allows city managers, assistant managers, and county chief administrative officers the opportunity to network and keep current on the wide range of issues. This conference was held January 31st through February 2nd.
Transtech celebrated their 28th year this year and ended 2017 with a bang! The holiday times are always a treat because it’s one of the few times during the year that all team members from each office and department get to be together with their families and enjoy the day! Thank you to our Transtech Team and Family for being part of this great company!
Transtech Staff joined the Temple City Youth Committee in assisting them host a Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety booth. Surveys were taken to see how many people in the City walk or bike, and what can be done to improve the active transportation options in the City. Transtech staff also spoke with the community and passed out flyers about safe walking, biking, and driving.
Transtech staff participates and partners with various organizations for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) outreach programs and conferences gearing towards high school students. Just this past year Transtech expanded their internship program to include students pursing STEM majors, particularly in civil engineering.
The International Code Council (ICC) launched its Certified Sustainability Professional (CSP) designation last month, and already has its first application from ICC member Ayla Jefferson from Fontana, CA. Ayla Jefferson has over 25 years of experience and currently holds the title of CBO, Contract Principal/Primary Project Manager and Sr. Plans Examiner at Transtech.
